Budd Hopkins, a UFO Reasearcher from America belives he knows why alien abductions occour. He believes the alien race cannot reproduce itself so they go and look for and scan other galaxies for a source of genetic material so they will be able to continue. When they found earth they found what they had been looking for.

His theory seems to be the answer to some of the experiences abductees have enjured whilst they were abducted. A few of them reported that they had undergone a medical examination whilst on board an alien craft, female abductees said that these examinations were similar to a gynaecological one. Hopkins says that the aliens are harvesting the ova from the females reproductive system and sperm from the males. A number of female abductees spoke about being shown their half- breed children on board the craft. Genetic-testing theorists belive this to be evidence that their ova had been used to create an alien hybrid race. There seems to be a small percentage of female abductees mostly from the USA who claimed to have been pregnant at the time they were abducted, but then afterwards all the signs of being pregnant disapeared. This is known as 'missing foetus syndrome'. The genetic testing freternity points to missing foetus syndrome as an example of how Alien visitors are determind to go ahead with the harvesting for genetic materials for themselves.

The first abduction case brought to the publics attention was back in 1964. Betty and Barney Hill reported seeing a UFO and a period of missing time while on a car journey. When they both started suffering from terrible nightmares they sought help from a psychiatrist, Dr Benjamin Simon who hypnotised them to find out what the root of the cause of the nightmares.

Under hypnosis they both described how they were abducted by Aliens and shown around their spaceship before undergoing a medical examination. Afterwards they both went public and told their story and it was then Alien Abductions were born.
