Men in Black

The Men in Black wear black suits (obviously) and usually wear sunglasses to hide thir glowing eyes which they are supposedly to have. Some of them are reported to be short, have olive complexion and have dark straight hair. They are said to be in groups of three and travel in shiney new black cars (mainly cadillacs). When confronting anyone they pose as investigators from the CIA or an other government agency. They also may flash official documents, but when checked up there is nothing on them!

These people? come to those who have reported seeing a UFO and perusade them to stop talking about it by being able to confuse or frighten the witness. In the next passage you will read about a man who came out with his story about the men in black.

The origin of the legend of `The Men in Black` (MIB) goes back to 1953. A man called Albert K. Bender wrote a magazine called `Space Review` and also ran an organisation called the International Flying Saucer Bureau (IFSB). In October 1953 the last edition of the publication of the magazine and the organisation were to cease with two announcments.

The first went on to say that the IFBS had a source which they say was very realiable had gone to them to say that the mystery of the flying saucer was at it's final stages.

The second announcment was a statment of importance, The mystery of the flying saucer was no longer a mystery and those who planned to engage into flying saucers to be VERY cautious!

After these two statments Bender closed the IFSB and didn't publish the Space Review. Later Bender gave an inteview to a local paper. It was then he said he had , had a 'visit' by three 'men in black'. They ordered him to stop publishing material on flying saucers and they had scared him profusely.

After what happened to Bender it created confusion amongst flying saucer buffs, some were skeptical and others said that he only said that about his three visitors because his organisation and publication were losing money so it had to be used as a face saving gesture.

Some of Benders friends first thought that they belonged to the CIA or the Air Force and after reading Benders original statments it does seem like that they are from the government. After a while the MIB began to assume a more extraterrestrial air.

Ten years later after Bender told of his encounter with the Men in Black he wrote a book called Flying Saucers and the Three Men in Black. It seemed to be a strange, cofused and a virtually unreadable book that revealed very little in the way of hard facts but it did enhance the reputation about the men in black being extraterrestrials.

Before the publication of the book there had been other reports of visits from the Men in Black to other people. They've been reported so often that now they are a part of UFO history.
